The Basic Book Bitches

Esther is set to marry her Mother’s killer, who also put the hit out to have her oldest brother killed. He is her Father’s age and this marriage will strengthen their mafia family against others. Alec is her dad’s enforcer and is tasked with keeping her in his sights until the wedding. Esther has plans to escape and when she does Alec is the one is has to hunt her down or he has to answer to the mafia in blood.

So this was a pretty fast story to get through. It has some angst, and some action, at times it was hilarious; and also sweet. I really enjoyed how no matter how much Esther annoyed Alec and made his life hell at times he still wanted to protect her, and if someone did her wrong he wanted to revenge her. This is a five-book series and I am super excited to read about the couple in the next book.
