A spoiled rich kid and a “in the making” professional ballet dancer collide. Violet is working towards her hobby as a professional ballet dancer until one night a terrible accident happens. Greyson is drunk out of his mind and crashes into violet on the intersection. Violet’s leg is shattered and so is her hope of dancing. 😦 Greyson becomes angry over the entire thing(even though it’s literally his fault) and moves colleges. Greyson’s dad; the senator threatens and makes her sign a NDA. Meanwhile Greysons living his best life as a hockey player.
This book was a roller coaster of emotions; for the characters. Firstly, Greyson was a dick in the beginning. He not only broke Violets dreams, but he made her life a living hell after the fact too. She was so angry that he got away with everything and that her career was then taken away, but she trooped though it and tried getting her life back together.
No matter how much Greyson tried to make Violet’s life hell; she continues to push on and take what he gives and sometimes even enjoys it. This is a dark sports romance so do look up all trigger warnings, but I quite enjoyed reading Violet and Greyson’s story. I really liked Greyson more towards the end of the book because he would do anything and everything to protect violet. I mean I do love a good dark bully romance, but at the end where the mc turns around and realizes what he has and that he’ll do anything to keep her safe, to me that is a good book; and this, to me, has that in this book. I also like the spice in this book. It has just the right amount for me to still enjoy the story line.
